Orrin J Rongstad

So sorry to hear about Orrin's passing. He was always a friend and happy to be a mentor to me as a budding wildlife biologist and eventually a graduate student at "The Department." Condolences, Tim Moser.

I join hundreds of DNR and other agency wildlifers in mourning the loss of one of our own. I enjoyed many sessions with him early in my career (circa 1970s-1980s) arguing about DNR deer management strategies. Always calm, tactful and highly professional, Orrin never lost his cool or a friendship. He'll be missed by many. David Gjestson, Cambridge, WI.

Met and saw Orrin Rongstad many times on Monday mornings at the Pleasant View golf course. We traveled together a time or two and had conversations about his Cousin and my Uncle Orlan Rongstatd. And met Bernice at American Girl as we both volunteered our time for their big annual sale. Believe we were both in the Couples golf group on Friday nights for at time. Judy and I have wonderful Memories of our times together and give our deepest Sympathy to Bernice and the Rongstad Family. Best Regards, Gerry Anderson
