STOUGHTON / SUN PRAIRIE - Donald Bothum, age 91, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Donald was a hard-working, fun-loving guy. His career spanned from years of farming -- milking cows, raising pigs and chickens and growing corn, hay, oats and tobacco. Don loved those 30+ years of working with the land. Then, he moved to town and spent the next 30+ years working with stainless steel making transport trailers, many that hauled milk, milking machines and many special products at Dairy Equipment Company. He was a prankster that always had his peers laughing and the days flying by. His years as a foreman earned him high respect from both his employer and his crew. Next, to round out his working years, Don worked as a quality control technician at Kayser Ford for nearly ten years. Don really enjoyed this work and the people at Kayser.
Don was a Brother of The Grand Lodge Free & Accepted Masons of Wisconsin since 1982. Don was an avid UW Badgers football and basketball fan. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors in nature, his lawn and landscaping, camping, traveling and building workshops and a litany of other projects with his partner in life, Tres. Their 54 years together were the very best!
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
