Robert O. Wolf

STOUGHTON-Robert O. "Bud" Wolf, age 89, of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017. He was born on Jan. 26, 1928, in Madison, the son of William and Mary (Doleshaw) Wolf. Bud was raised on a farm in Sun Prairie and graduated from Sun Prairie High School. He married Phyllis J. Ziegler on May 5, 1951, in Sun Prairie. After many years of farming, Bud worked as a salesperson for Midland/Land O'Lakes. His faith was very important to him, being baptized and confirmed at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie and a current member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church, McFarland. Bud was an avid Euchre player and golfer. He and Phyllis were longtime members of Coachman's Golf Course. Bud was a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. In recent years, he and Phyllis enjoyed the coffee and fellowship at the Stoughton Senior Center. Bud loved his family, enjoying breakfast and fish fries with Phyllis and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a soft spoken man with a big heart. Bud was loved by all who knew him, and his long heartfelt letters will be missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis; three daughters, Sherry (Alan) Sweeney, Nicki (Alan) Neipert and Renee (Gregg) Krzyston; son, Todd Wolf (Nancy Miller); three granddaughters, Kortni Wolf (Michael Plisch), Ashley Sweeney (Matt Bomkamp) and Shanna Sweeney; grandson, Gavin Krzyston; and sister-in-law, Bea (Wolf) Barth. Bud was preceded in death by his brother, Clement Wolf; and sister, Lucille Ellner. A Memorial Service will be held at Skaalen Home Chapel, 400 North Morris St., Stoughton, at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday March 4, 2017, with Rev. Joshua Janke presiding and Rev. James Koza leading the table blessing. Visitation will be held at Skaalen Home from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
