MADISON/WATERTOWN/CALIFORNIA-Albert A. LaBelle, age 74, passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1942, the son of Harold and Iva (Horton) LaBelle. Albert graduated from Monona High School in 1960. He lived in Watertown and worked for Brandt Inc. Albert then moved to Riverside, Calif., and worked for Fleetwood Motorhomes and later retired in his home town of Madison. Bert was an incredibly funny, kind, and generous person, who brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was a proud lifelong member of the NRA, and a member of the Jaycee's in Watertown. He enjoyed hunting, camping, playing cards, working in his garage and watching Packer games. He was loved by many, and will be remembered for his kind heart, fun-loving sense of humor, and unwavering positive outlook on life. Albert is survived by his wife, Helen (Kollath) LaBelle; sons, Jeff (Ceci) LaBelle, Scott LaBelle, Shawn (Shelley) Finnel and Michael (Tiffany) Finnel; daughter, Melissa Finnel; grandchildren, Megan and Eric LaBelle, Corey, Wesley and Sydney Watanabe and Ryan, Ellen, Brett and Lily Finnel and Sean Dougherty; sister, Loraine (Del) Otis; sister-in-law, Deloris Labelle, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. I knew Al when I worked at Brandt. He was always funny and a great guy to everyone. He'll be missed. My sincere sympathies to his family.

I was deeply saddened by this great loss..not only to Al's family and my beloved Helen but my loss. Al played a father like part in my life and always had a smile or joke even while facing his daily health demons. I would always ask Al "How are ya today Al"? "Awww I'm pretty good but I'll get over it"... so many times we laughed together and there are a few very rare and vulnerable times we cried together because of his frustrations and failing health. My heart is with you Helen..and your whole family. He is with his Gina now and I pray he is in peace. How I will miss that ole John Deere cap which he thought he MUST wear because well..he was retired! Love that man and will never ever forget him until my last breathe xoxo

Bert, was such an amazing man. He was the best father in law ever! Scratch that... He was a second father to me.... He was patient, kind, funny, and the most generous man I have ever known in my life. I had the pleasure of knowing this great man for almost 30 years. I have learned many lessons in life from him. I will always cherish the days where I would come over and help him "putz" in the garage as he would say.... The world lost a great human being. I will always love you Bert.

You will forever be in my heart! You were a
wonderful father, grandpa, and friend. You mean the
world to me and I will never forget you! I find comfort knowing you are no longer suffering in pain. I know you are in heaven enjoying life again, sippin on your favorite Jim Beam, smokin your pipe, and probably playing cribbage. You were loved by so many! I will see you on the other side.
In the meantime, keep cracking your jokes and continue to be the light in other people's day.
You meant the world to me. Thank you for all the great memories!!

Helen, I remember when I worked for Al at Brandt when you two met. Lots of good memories from that time. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. May God's presence be with you and the family during this difficult time.
