Obituary
MIDDLETON-George Kaisler passed away February 5, 2017 at the age of 93. Originally from Racine, WI, George lived the past 52 years in Middleton and Madison, WI. He is preceded in death by wives Arline Kaisler and Marvis Weathered and twelve brothers and sisters. George is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Carole and Mark Schubring, and Janet and Michael Bates; five grandchildren and their spouses Ted and Wyndi Schubring, Elizabeth and Joshua Beam, Steven and Kate Bates, Matthew and Melissa Schubring and Greg and Alyssa Bates; and seven great-grandchildren. George served as a radio operator in Burma during World War II. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming and two Masters Degrees from the University of Wisconsin. George was a proud career-long employee of the Wisconsin State Department of Industry and Labor. He retired in 1983 after rising into the ranks of senior administration. George was active at St. Bernard's Church, the Serra Club, the Knights of Columbus, Middleton Senior Center and the Middleton Historical Society. He enjoyed genealogy and developed an extensive family tree tracing his roots back to the 1600s in what is now the Czech Republic. George and Arline traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States and spent countless hours enjoying and helping family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11AM on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of the Mass on Thursday. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5600 Holy Cross Rd., Racine at 11AM on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. The family wishes to thank the outstanding staff at All Saints Assisted Living for caring for George during the last months of his life and to Agrace Hospice staff for their dedication and unrelenting assistance. I remember Uncle George coming to Wy. for a visit. I loved to get the Christmas wishes we sent to each other. Will miss that. God bless all of his family you are in my thoughts and prayers.

It is truly a loss for all of us at All Saints, but a personal loss to me. My parents became friends with George while living @ 8202, Marvis came to my home & played cards with family when my Mother passed & my Dad & I attended George & Marvis's wedding & reception. We all really enjoyed spending time with George & miss him dearly. It was a pleasure to become reacquainted with George when I began working at Assisted Living. My Deep & Sincere Sympathy to Carol, Janet & Spouses & Extended Family.. He was a sweet gentle man.

Joan and John Orth lived in Madison for 12 years and spent many memorable hours talking about Wisconsin History which was one of his favorite subjects. George was Joan's favorite Uncle and was especially thankful for George's contributions to the Kaisler geneology.
We will miss him and are sorry we will not make the funeral now that we have retired to North Carolina.
