OREGON- Judith "Judy" Johnsrud, age 65, passed away from a brief illness on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. She was born on Oct 24, 1951, in Madison, the daughter of Leo and Vera Lowers. Judith graduated from the last class of Madison Central High School in 1969. She was united in marriage to Douglas Johnsrud in 1970. Judy loved working in the health field and retired from St. Mary's Hospital in 2013. She found great joy in working in the family suites and being around babies. Judy was an animal lover, especially dogs and horses. She is survived by her husband, Doug; canine companion, Frannie and her brother, Dennis Lowers. She was preceded in death by her parents. Judy was my second cousin and we spent part of every summer together near Winter,Wisconsin,where by grandfather had a summer cabin and her grandfather (my grandfather's brother) farmed. Judy was a sweet, loving person who never had anything bad to say about anyone. I am shocked and saddened by her death.
