Jeanne Buehler

STOUGHTON/PARK FOREST, ILL.-Jeanne Mary Buehler, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. She was born on March 4, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Raymond and Eleanore Rauch. Jeanne had a gift for making people feel good. She was a wonderful listener, very kind, compassionate, thoughtful and generous. Jeanne would do anything for you if she thought it was helpful. She was a loving, caring mother, nana/grandmother and friend. Jeanne worked as a secretary for the Oral Surgery Center in Olympia Fields, Ill. She married Orla Buehler in 1991. Jeanne was an excellent pilot who flew Cessna aircraft. She also enjoyed painting wood crafts, doing dishes, watching tennis and the Chicago Bears, was an avid reader and enjoyed western novels. In addition, she was talented in handwriting analysis. Jeanne is survived by her children, Betsy Braun, Bonita Coffin and Kurt Braun; grandchildren, Ariane Hooker, Ian Coffin and Kate Canfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orla Buehler; former husband, Fred Braun; grandchild, Erin Hooker; and sister, Dianne Schap. Funeral services will be held at NAZARETH HOUSE CHAPEL, 814 Jackson St., Stoughton, at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. Visitation will be held at the Chapel from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
