MADISON-Jennifer "Jeni" Wheeler (Reich), age 32, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1984, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Kate (Herrick) Reich. Jeni graduated from Monona Grove High School in 2002. She worked in the insurance business at several places in the Madison area. Jeni loved being outside in nature, going for walks and hikes, participating in 5K run/walk events, photography and traveling. Jeni is survived by her parents, Charles and Kate Reich of Monona; daughter, Toni Reich; brother, David (Karissa Fletchall) of Baltimore, Md.; husband, Tyrone Wheeler; grandmother, Barbara Herrick of Grand Rapids, Mich.; aunts and uncles, Russ and Amy Venlos of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Christopher and Roberta Herrick of Yankton S.D., Diane and Norman Gilbert of Houston, Texas, Daniel and Pam Reich of Sacramento, Calif., and Jim and Adrienne Reich of Austin, Texas; her dog, CoCo; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, JoAnn and Gerald Reich; maternal grandfather, John Herrick; and uncle, Anthony "Tony" Herrick. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family for Toni's education. We loved Jeni. She was always so full of life and joy. I remember how cute she was as a little girl.
She is greatly missed.. but we pray that she called on the name of Jesus before she passed.

Jeni loved elephants. This photo always makes me smile and remember her.
She was so happy so much if the time, very creative. She loved to plan parties for people she knew, always wanted to make them smile.

I worked with Jennifer at Frontier. We started on the same day. I always enjoyed talking to her. She had many great stories. She was intelligent and professional. She had told me of some her struggles and I offered her advice. She was a great person! I don't know what happened since she left. She loved Toni so much. I was in shock when I found her name in the obituaries. I know that she is at peace. We had a lot in common. I hope all of her family knows what a joy and inspiration she was to others. I did enjoy trading stories. Toni and my son are close in age. I thought I was helping her, but at the same time helping myself when we would discuss each of our lives. I will truly miss her. I always hoped our paths would once again cross. All my love.

oh my sweet Cherry, Although we hadn't been on the best terms, you still were my best friend for longest time and what friends don't go thru there ups and downs and I always hoped for one day to see you again an make up because you truly meant a lot to me and I loved you and your daughter both very deeply, im very sadden at the fact that im just finding this news out today and wish we could have had one more day together were we would take our drives or go on random trips or one of the many parties we would throw together in the matter of days! an the bond that our children shared, I just want Toni to know that I am here and to never hesitate to reach out for me, However im happy to say that I have many many happy memories with you, an you have left you imprint in my heart as well as many other as you were so sweet kind and just oh so full of life, I just hope that now you are resting peacefully!
