Ever since I started hanging around the residence on Miller Drive in the 6th grade, around 1984 or so, I always felt completely at home at the Schumacher house. This was in no small measure due to Susie's bright disposition and loving heart, which always helped make the home feel welcoming and comforting. Her many culinary delights also contributed to the joy of spending time there. It is with great sadness to learn of Susie's passing, and she will be greatly missed by all those who have been touched by her grace. Our sincere condolences and deep sympathies are with the entire Schumacher family at this time. Rest in Peace, Susie.

Susie was a lovely lady who faced her health issues with true grace and patience. Plus she made absolutely the best blonde brownies in the world. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
