Thoughts and prayers to the family: Loretta, Shiela, Joe, and Sarah. I remember all our fond days in Middleton, enjoying Dan and all the family. The world was a better place because of Dan. The best to all of you as you travel on your journey with the kind thoughts of him with you forever.

One of the nicest and most genuinely caring men I have ever had the pleasure to know. Rest in Peace my friend.

My uncle did so much good for so many people. Most of us will never hear about those many, many acts of random kindness! I am pretty sure about that. He kept it quiet. He kept it very quiet. Let me share just one example: Dan and Loretta were visiting us in Phoenix and while walking out of mass one Sunday morning at Brophy Chapel, Dan brushed up beside me. Without my being aware of it, he slipped a check in my back pocket, a check for Katie and I to use for three foster sons we had taken into our home, a personal check for $1000.00. Dan had only met our three boys, ever so briefly. Uncle D. lived the Gospel! He has his place in Heaven. I hope it's beachfront property.
