Obituary
MADISON-AnnaMae Francis Rosol, age 72, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare after a long and courageous battle with cancer for over 30 years. She was born on Feb. 17, 1944, in Wauwatosa, the daughter of Evelyn Younger and Clarence Knutson. She married her soulmate John Rosol Sr. on Nov. 9, 1968, in Madison. AnnaMae was raised by her grandmother, Ella Younger on Potter Street and attended St Mark's Lutheran Church. She graduated from Central High School in 1962. After high school AnnaMae joined the Dept. of Defense USAFI where she worked for 12 years in administration. When they closed, she worked for Ohio Medical Products/GE Healthcare until her retirement. She was very active for over 30 years in both the Charismatic Renewal and Blessed Sacrament Prayer Group. AnnaMae was incredibly strong in her faith and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a devoted and loving mother herself but her true pride and joy came from her grandchildren. She spent countless hours attending school programs and after-school events and never missed an opportunity to dote on them. She was a wonderful baker and was well known for her banana bread recipe. She was loved deeply and will be missed by all who knew her. AnnaMae is survived by her children; John (Laura) Rosol Jr., Kim Rosol (Mike Grieshammer) and Thomas (Teresa) Rosol; grandchildren, TJ, Trinity and Tiffany Stevens, Lucas Davidson, Makenzie and Jenna Mae Rosol, and Tyson and Evan Rosol; great-grandchild, Vance "George"; sister Mary (Paul Robbins) Knutson-Robbins, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; mother and father-in-law; husband, John Sr.; and very special Uncle Gene. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, with Father Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, with a rosary service at 7 p.m., and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to IHM Forward in Faith Fund. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gail, Mary, Betsy and Candy, the staff of Agrace, as well as many more friends too numerous to list for all their loving and compassionate care. Mom and Grandma, "we love you forever and a day". Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

My heart and prayers go out to the Rosol family in the loss of my dear lifetime friend, Anna Mae. She is pain free now and with the love of her life. We met in grade school, graduated from high school together and eventually became roommates. Next came your wedding toJohn where I was privileged to be your maid of honor.. Then along came the kids. Our life had its ups and downs, but you had such tremendous faith and spent your life helping other people. What a blessing and inspiration you have been to so many. I will miss you dearly.

AnnaMae is not my aunt - she was my father's cousin. But when we were together I called her my aunt because she was beautiful and kind, just like an aunt would be. I will miss you Aunt AnnaMae. Love your 'Niece', Tre'

Dear, sweet Anna Mae. I met Anna Mae through the Blessed Sacrament Prayer Group over 20 years ago. She was a mentor for many in the group. She always spoke highly of John, their children and grandchildren. Thanks Anna Mae for your friendship...patience and kindness ...always.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of AnnaMae. When I was a boy visiting Grandma Ella she was always there. It seemed as though the house was not complete without her presence. Over the decades my life took me to difference places and I was not always able to keep in contact with her, but when we did meet she was always so gracious and kind. We shared a common thread for our love for the Lord and she was so willing to talk freely about Him to me. She knew her ultimate destination after this journey was over and looked forward to meeting her Lord. Like many, I will miss her soft spoken tone and mannerisms. She was a wonderful cousin and brought a lot more light to a room when she was in it. My sincere condolences to the family, John Jr., Kim, and Tom, you had a great mom. Blessings to you all. Rusty, a name I do not use anymore, except for family.
