Obituary
LODI – Debra Elaine Schroeder, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at St. Mary's hospital in Madison, WI due to complications from HHT which included kidney disease.
Debbie was born on February 12, 1957. She had worked at Weber's Bakery, WPS and Oscar Mayer, although her absolutely favorite job was raising her children.
Debra Crary Steinert married Steven Schroeder on September 16, 1983. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, living in and traveling throughout the Midwest, and music. One of her favorite places to visit was Door County in the fall. She had a wonderful and quick sense of humor, and a loving heart. She was the spark that could brighten any situation. An exploration of her Scottish heritage led her on the trip of her lifetime to Scotland.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Steven Schroeder and her sons, Chad (Abby), Paul, and Shane (Tara); grandsons Slade and Swayze; siblings, Chuck (Gloria) Crary, Carol Sekorky, Jim Crary, Ray (Kris) Crary, Dave (Adele) Crary, Steve (Kathy) Crary, and Wayne (Anita) Crary; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard J. Steinert; her parents, James and Elaine Crary, and sister, Susan Crary.

Debbie was a great wife, mother, friend to many & the best sister in law one could ever ask for. She was a great listener, & one who seemed to understand my feelings more then anyone. Our talks turned into hours during our times together. Dinners at our house she was right there in the kitchen with me willing to help or just keep me company from setting the table til the last fork was cleaned. Many good laughs & acting like kids when we did. Her soft spoken voice was who she was on the inside as well. She was truly a blessing to our family. She was my Rock, and I'm really truly going to miss her.

Debbie was such a sweet, upbeat person. I loved it whenever I saw her and spent time with her. Dear Crary and Schroeder clans, I cannot tell you enough how sorry I am that she is gone. My heart breaks along with your hearts, and my tears mingle with your tears. May God hold you in His warm embrace and bring you peace. May the fellowship of family and friends surround you with love and protection. My hugs to all!
