Obituary
MADISON-Anita M. Fisher, age 79, of Madison, peacefully passed away on Sunday Jan. 22, 2017, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born in Barneveld, Wis., on Jan. 21, 1938, the daughter of Melvin and Naomi (Collins) Komplin. On Jan. 10, 1959, she was united in marriage to Russell Fisher. He preceded her in death in 1981. Anita graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in 1955. She worked as a word processor for American Family Insurance, retiring in 2000. Anita was a member of Madison Elks Lodge No. 410. She enjoyed music, especially playing the piano, was an avid Packers and Badgers fan, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Anita is survived by daughters, Beth (Lawrence) Blaser and Mary (Jeff) Vitense; son, David (Angela) Fisher; grandchildren, Grant (Sara Derbick) Vitense, Rachel (Brian) Fisch, Russell Blaser, Cody Fisher and Gina Fisher; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Hendrix Vitense and Shane and Audrey Fisch; brother Don Komplin; and sisters-in-law, Helen Komplin and Phyllis Komplin. In addition to her husband, Russell, Anita was preceded in death by brothers, Neil, Eldon and Vern Komplin. A Celebration of Anita's life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 26, 2017.
