Obituary

MADISON-Howard E. Ramsfield of Madison, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at the age of 60. He was born Feb. 7, 1956, in Madison, the son of Oscar and Esther (Anderson) Ramsfield. Howard was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked at the University Hospital for 21 years as a Maintenance Mechanic. Howard enjoyed many years at his family cabin on the shores of Lake Superior on the Keweenaw Bay. Many fond memories were made there as he welcomed his children, grandchildren, and many friends and family members to what he considered the most beautiful place on earth. He also enjoyed boating, motorcycles, old western movies and being a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Darleen Ramsfield (Jensen); his daughter, Myra (Neil) Brauner; his son, Sam (Sandra) Ramsfield; and his cherished grandchildren, Kaden, Lucas and Rylan Brauner, Lily Ramsfield, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his 5th grandchild in March, 2017. He is also survived by his three sisters, Susan (Tom) Ernser, Jeannette (Dennis) Becker and Donna Lockwood. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Harry Anderson; aunt, Shirley Jensen; and his best buddy, brother-in-law, Dennis Jensen. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017. Miss you dad. Lily is doing great. Learning to many words and songs! Sandra is two weeks out from number 5 and she is doing good tired but good. I guess that's all. Nobody will probably read this but oh wells.

We had number 5 Mackenzie Rae. Born 3/14. Lily is still your hippie chick, haven't cut her hair yet. Not sure why I'm writing this but it feels like it's closure. It hurts everyday your not here dad...
