MADISON-Carla Marie Wilson, age 45, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1971, in Madison, the daughter of David and Susan Wilson. Carla enjoyed going to the beach, working crossword puzzles, playing disc golf and going for walks. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. Most importantly, Carla loved spending time with family and friends. Her bubbly personality would light up the room. She is survived by her daughter, Brooke Danforth; parents, David (Donna) Wilson and Susan (Ron) Kelley; brother, Anthony (Elizabeth) Wilson; step-brother, Sean (Tamara) Kelley; step-sister, Heather (Michael) McKay; niece, Catalyna Wilson; fiancé, Curtis Klutsenbaker; best friend, Tricia Swenson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Carla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hiram "Buck" and Dorothy Wilson and Charles and Myrtle Gilbert. A Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. Memorials may be made to the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Meriter I.C.U., Chaplain Gilbert and all of our family and special friends for the support shown to Carla and her family. Carla was a very sweet person. I remember hanging out with her at my mom's wedding a few years ago, and after the wedding, she helped us get everything back to my mom's house and we all just sat around after for a few hours laughing. The most beautiful thing she ever created was my niece, I will forever be grateful. Sending lots of prayers for Brooke and her family.
