DEFOREST/SUN PRAIRIE-Donald Frank Cook, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017. He was born on March 18, 1940 in Madison, the son of Frank and Ethel (Marsh) Cook. Don married Bernadine Bauer on June 30, 1966. Don loved sports and was an avid Packer and Badger fan. He worked at Walmart in Sun Prairie for 30 years. Don is survived by his wife, Bernadine; daughter, Angela (Scott) Benson; son, David (Laurel) Larson; grandchildren, Anthony Benson, Jacob Benson, Matthew Larson and Haley Larson and sister, Lola Welke. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Leon, Duane, Marlin and LeRoy and sister, Delila Stolen. Memorial Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Inurnment will be held at St. Olaf's Cemetery, DeForest at a later date. A special thank you to Sun Prairie EMT's and Sun Prairie Emergency Clinic for the care they gave Don.
