George Albert Andruss

PARDEEVILLE-George Albert Andruss, age 74, of Pardeeville, beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy (Anderson) Andruss for 54 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at his home. He was born on Jan. 3, 1942, in Madison, the son of Ira and Vera Andruss. He grew up in Madison along with ten siblings. George met the love of his life, Dorothy Anderson of McFarland, in 1961, and they were united in marriage on Sept. 12, 1964. George is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Steve (Char) Patterson of DeForest and Donald (Tammera) Andruss of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; three daughters, Tammy (Mark) Heissner of Evansville, Anna (Russ) Clark of Casper, Wy., and Lisa Conaway of Evansville; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Rios and Beverly Maier, both of Madison; brother, Harvey Andruss of Madison; and many loving nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; son George Andruss Jr.; three brothers, James, Ralph and Ira Andruss; and four sisters, Lois Judd, MaryLou Ringstad, JoEllen Fenne and Kathleen Trammel. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.
