Joshua John Perkins

Perkins, Joshua John MCFARLAND-Joshua John Perkins, age 29, of McFarland, passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016. He was born on Feb. 3, 1987, in Madison, the son of Raymond Perkins and Sandy (Ross) Frye. Josh graduated from McFarland High School and was employed at TundraLand. Those who knew Josh, knew that the most important person in his life was his beautiful daughter, Payton. Payton meant everything to him and he loved to make her laugh. He did everything in his power to make sure she was happy and well cared for. Payton would tell you that he was the absolute best Daddy. He loved playing with her and teaching her new things.                        Written and thought of on the spot by: ***Josh-ua J Perkins*** "I will always remember your warm touch, beautiful eyes with that glimmering ever so sweet smile, but most of all our Love...because that makes me happy. It made him happy when he could play, not only with Payton, but all the kids in his life, he would actually BE one of the kids." His smile and laughter was contagious and would make you forget any problems on your mind. He got into heart to heart conversations with many and if you were one who ever experienced one of these conversations consider yourself blessed, they were amazing.  Josh also enjoyed disc golf, miniature golf and spending time with family and friends making them laugh. Josh loved cooking! It didn't matter if it was on the grill or that amazing breakfast in the morning. He loved cooking for his friends and family. His breakfasts were like no other. He always, even as a little boy, enjoyed dominos. Josh loved art and we are certain that him and his Grandpa Ross are together creating some awesome abstract in Heaven. He also enjoyed writing poetry. I think it was his way of capturing his many thoughts on life. A Portion from one of Josh's writings:Sometimes life can hurt...or break a soul in two, but we are human so god made sure there was a right and wrong. If everything came easy...no worries, no sorrow...no anger, excitement, frustration. How would we know and enjoying everything that make life so great and worthwhile?  accept the "happened for a reason." Do you? I know us today, living this day and age...don't understand why there is so much sadness and non-commitment to other human being, as if they don't matter or they are just there to be used! That isn't the intentions others are trying to make. People can be rude, unpleasant or even intolerable, but it's "our" turn to make a difference and when you feel those negative emotions settling in the air from someone engaging you...just ask them, "What makes you happy?" You might change their prospective on why in the first place they were trying to bring others down with them. Just remember, it's not their fault, it's not your fault, and it's not happiness every day or waking moment. Happiness has to be achieved in a sense of accomplishment!!!  He played soccer as a kid for many years and was one of the best. He continued this love for soccer as a young adult even though he could no longer participate. He got Gavin, Mike's son into soccer.  Josh had a special love for animals. Him and Payton share a love for cats and he loved his iguana Izzy very much. He would always step in and take care of the pets of family member when needed. He loved to cuddle and spoil his mom's dog Rosie.  Josh is survived by his daughter, Payton; his parents, Sandy (Gary) Frye of McFarland and Raymond Perkins, Jr. of Madison; a sister, Heather (Chris) Fraunfelder; and a brother, Raymond Perkins III; a sister, Nicole (Erik) Schmidt; a grandmother, Elizabeth (Elsie) Perkins and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Ashley Schulenberg; a brother, Danny Perkins; a grandmother, Virginia (Ginger) Ross; two grandfathers, Daniel Ross and Raymond Perkins Sr. Funeral services will be held at Crossroads Church, 3815 Dutch Mill Rd, Madison, at 11:00AM on Wednesday, Dec. 21st followed by a luncheon. Visitation will be held at Crossroads Church from 10:00AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
