My Mom told me yesterday of the passing of my Uncle Chuck. He had a lasting impact on my life even if I did not see him often. I started playing competitive baseball before I was ready and Uncle Chuck was the umpire at a game I played in. I made an obvious mistake in the game that had everyone in attendance laughing and me feeling so stupid. And Uncle Chuck took time to walk over to me and tell me not to worry. He also told me the right way to do it next time and for that short period I was sheltered from the laughter. Later in the same game some of the audience started heckling him about a call that he made. He made no notice and just kept on facing front and doing the right thing. I can and will never forget. I am glad my uncle is comfortable and safe and can enjoy the peace that living a good life can bring. Chuck Kruse son of Charles and Dorothy

My deepest sympathy for the passing of an awesome person who I was blessed to be a part of , for a part of my life. Mr. Amera had a life long impact on my life. I was a student when he was a Vice Principal. Even thou I was a challenge, Mr Amera was always fair and honest with me each time we had to meet. Which seemed often?? He is and has always has been a true educator and cared for all students regardless of their place in life. Thanks Mr. Amera for changing my life. You will always be in my heart. God bless. My condolences go out to Mr. Amera's Friends and Family. I was a student at Winnequah when he was Vice Principal and you couldnt have asked for a better Vice Principal who actually had all of his students interest in mind and cared about them and it came thru that way also

My deepest sympathy for the family of Chuck. He was a huge presence on the water ski shore of Law Park in the 80's and 90's ...always smiling for every skier and giving encouragement to each and every person. No matter how many times I fell and wanted to cry he was there with a smile as I washed up on shore encouraging to try again. It is the kind of person he was. Deepest condolences... My heartfelt condolences to the Amera Family. Chuck was my supervisor when I umpired summers in Madison almost 40 years ago. I could not have asked for a better boss. He was always upbeat and supportive. Chuck never had a bad day and I would like to think that his positive vibe rubbed off on me. I had lost touch with Chuck over the years but the fond memories of working with him never left me. Just a class act! He will be missed but never forgotten.
