Barbara P Graves

SUN PRAIRIE-Barbara P. Graves, age 87, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at home. She was born on Jan. 23, 1929, in Madison, the daughter of William and Amelia (Schuler) Burdick. Barbara married Harold Russell Graves in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1967. Barbara loved to cook and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed working as a caretaker for Meriter Hospital. Barbara is survived by her children, Gale Lembcke, Richard (Wendy) Graves, William Graves, Debra (Mike) Root and Tammy Potter; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lori Graves; and sisters-in-law, Jackie Burdick and Ruth Burdick. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; children, Cheryl Brown, Perry Graves and Harold "Butch" Graves; five brothers; and three sisters. Per Barbara's wishes, there will be a private graveside ceremony held at a later date. The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for the loving care you showed Barbara.
