My sister and myself, Pat and Frank Garro would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Steve Houser. My sister and I had the privilege of working with Steve at the State Prison in Waupun. He was one of my supervisors and a very pleasant and down to earth person to work with. We will keep Steve and his family in our prayers!
May the grace of God's peace and love surround and keep you!!

My sincere condolences to Steve's family. I worked with Steve in central office and always found him to be upbeat and friendly to everyone he came in contact with. Did not matter who you were, Steve took the time to treat you right. Steve was a true gentleman and someone who was missed from the day he retired. Now he is missed by the countless number of people who he befriended as well as those who loved him and held him dear. God bless!

Steve was a great person to work with and just have fun with. He will be truly missed by his friends in the corrections community. He touched a lot of lives and taught many good lessons to his friends, colleagues and incoming corrections staff. Boy he loved to have fun.
God bless Steve. I know you'll be watching over your family and the rest of us.

So many wonderful memories over 30 years of friendship with Steve and Marlene. Ice storms with school cancelations that resulted in great parties at the Houser house on Colony Cir. Great to be only a corn field away! Florida memories will always be a favorite and probably the result of our continued love of Florida. Steve always treated Marlene as his queen and I know his sons will be great husbands because of their father. No words can express the loss and love we feel.
Forever,

Dear Houser family.
Our deepest sympathy for your family - Marlene, Trevor and Lucas. I remember him cheering on his sons at football games at Ashley Field. He loved his family and loved sports. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. It has been quite a year. Big hugs from your Westside family. - Ron and Barb Reindl

I am so sorry to hear this. Marlene and family my sympathies go out to you. I remember times at Lake Kegonsa when we were neighbors of Ron and Mary Ellen. After I retired six years ago, I moved to Florida south of where Ron and Mary Ellen used to vacation so many years ago. Sending prayers your way.
