LAKE MILLS-Thomas "Tom" Faes, age 71, of Lake Mills, passed away on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Rainbow Hospice. He was born on March 25, 1945, in Madison, the son of Max and Helen (Wisbrod) Faes. Tom was a loving father and grandfather and a hardworking man. He was employed at Madison Kipp Corporation as a tool and dye supervisor for over 25 years. Tom enjoyed fishing on the many lakes around the area, working on cars, traveling, camping and playing cards, especially poker. Tom is survived by his sons, Paul (Terri) Faes and Dale Faes; and grandchildren, Corinna Faes, Kelli Faes, Christopher Faes, Brandi McMahon, Michelle Gentry and Noah North. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Gentry; and former wife, Susan (Hering) Faes. A private burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. Uncle Tom was a great guy. Always smiling, soft spoken, and eager to hear about fishing stories. I'll never forget the fishing adventure we went on from Lake Waubesa to Lake Mendota. He will be greatly missed by all.

I really miss both of my grandparents. My husband lost his grandma a week ago and I was wondering if I could find my own grandparent's obituaries on here. I'm glad I found them. I have a picture of grandpa on my fridge that I look and smile at every day.
I wish grandma and grandpa could be there for our wedding. I did imagine what they would say to us on that day. I've been talking about them a lot lately to my grandma (mom's mom) because of my husband losing his recently and every time I start tearing up.
I love and miss them every day.
