Faye Jennilyn Haight

MADISON-The world lost a beautiful and kind soul on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at the young age of 34. Faye Jennilyn (Hanevold) Haight fought breast cancer for over two years with bravery and grace. She touched our lives with her sweet, caring nature and was a blessing to all. Faye married Will Haight IV on June 13, 2009. Family was always her number one priority and she loved being a mother to Piper, William and Violet. She dreamt of being a mother since she was a child and then lived the part perfectly. She was an adventurous person and loved trying new things like paddle boarding, canoeing down the Guadelupe River with her sisters or trying a new recipe. She enjoyed boating on Lake Mendota and camping with her husband and family. Her favorite place in the world was Door County. Faye is survived by her husband Will; and children, Piper, William and Violet; loving parents, Cindy and Dave Pittman; devoted sisters, Deb (Bruce) Sumter, April Hanevold, Natalie Rawls; her father, Craig Hanevold; best friend, Katie LeRoy; beloved in-laws, Bill and Nancy Haight; nieces and nephews, Morgan, Jackson, Finn, Sawyer, Kingston and Charlotte; many aunts, uncles, cousins, close family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Delores Skonie, and Walter and Shirley Hanevold. A Celebration of Faye's Life will be held at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Sunday Dec. 18, 2016, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. The family would like to give special thanks to the many people who donated support and love throughout Faye's journey. A fund has been established for her children.
