Obituary

BELLEVUE WA – Mary Jo Ryan passed away peacefully December 19, 2016, with her son Rodney by her side.  Born September 12, 1940 to Herold and Lois Ryan, of Lodi, Wisconsin, she enjoyed life, family and friends.  Mary Jo had a terrific career in marketing and communications, with international recognition including a Clio for advertising.  However, her greatest business success was LINK Conference Service, a company she founded, grew and later sold.  As CEO, she was an inspirational leader, mentor and confidant to her employees and son. After selling the company, Mary Jo enjoyed spending time with Rodney (Lola) and two grandsons, Henry and Herold.  She relished trips back to Lodi to visit her remarkable family and many friends who now remember her as a strong, smart, fun-loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.  Mary Jo was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan, even going to the Superbowl. She also enjoyed the Seattle Symphony, attending both for years with her son and many others.  Mary Jo is survived by her son, Rodney (Lola); grandsons, Henry and Herold; mother, Lois Ryan; siblings, Shirley Pape, Diane Riley, Dick Ryan, Tim Ryan, Lori Statz, Dan Ryan, and their families, a large extended family and several close friends.  She is preceded in death by her father, Herold Ryan.
