MADISON-Jay Deane, age 54, of Madison, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016. He was born on Oct. 13, 1962, the son of Kenneth and Virgina Deane in Madison. He attended McFarland High School, graduating in 1981. Jay worked as a Supervisor for Placon Supply Store in Fitchburg. He was an avid sports fan but especially enjoyed the Packers and Badgers, as well as fantasy football. Jay is survived by his parents; brother, Jeffrey (Tammy) Deane; niece, Kristi (Craig) Johnson, and many friends. Private family services will be held. Jay was about 9 years older than me, his younger girl cousin. I wish we could've connected as adults more than through Facebook. But in true Jay fashion, he wished me well on FB before my surgery Monday. One of the things I always appreciated about him is he never said a mean thing to me. It sounds weird to say, but growing up back in the day, it meant the world. He had a wonderful laugh and smile and I hope, more than anything, he knew he was loved.

Kenny & Ginger, it is with the deepest of sympathy when I just now read Jay',s obituary. It has been so many years since I have seen Jay that my memories are of Jeff & Jay as little boys.
