Donna L. Parisi

MADISON- Donna Louise Parisi, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Dec. 6, 2016, at Our House Assisted Living in Lodi, Wisc. She was born on June 7, 1929, in Indiana the daughter of Leo and Alberta (Vogel) Guggenbiller. After Donna graduated from high school in Ft. Recovery, Ohio, she moved to Madison where she met and married Joseph Parisi in 1951. Shortly after getting married, Donna and Joe moved to southern California where their two sons, Ken and Steve, and daughter, Tricia were born. In 1967 they returned to Madison where they raised their family and lived for many years. Donna worked many different jobs and finally retired from American Family Insurance after 16 years. Donna was an avid bowler and played in many leagues over the years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and had a special talent for Sicilian cuisine. She loved sewing and embroidery and always had a book to read. She also had a very strong faith and spent countless hours volunteering in the cafeteria at St. Bernard Catholic Parish in Madison. Above all Donna was dedicated to her family and creating the most warm and loving home for her children. Donna is survived by her daughter, Tricia Trainor; granddaughters, Amanda Trainor and Melissa (Tony) Vanover and Jaimi Mellum; great-granddaughters, Adrianna and Savannah; sisters, Marguerite Kreider and Virginia (Ralph) Bechtol; as well as numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; sons, Ken and Steve; brothers, Jerome and David; and sister, Marlene. A private service will be held in Donna's honor.
