Lois June Moul

LODI/MADISON-Lois June (Kozel) Moul, age 88, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016. She was born on Oct. 14, 1928, in Lodi, to Ben and Bernice Kozel. Lois graduated from Lodi High School in 1946. After graduation she held several jobs in Lodi and also worked for her parents at their Kozel IGA store. Later she went on to work for Farmer's Mutual and then American Family Insurance where she retired in January 1992, after 40 years of service. Lois June married Harold "Curly" Moul on Sept. 23, 1950, and they shared 55 years together. They moved to Madison in the early 1950's where they made their new home and raised one child, Carey Allen Moul. Lois June was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Lodi. Later, she joined Messiah Lutheran Church in Madison. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary No. 501. Lois was an avid bowler and proud to be in the 600 bowling club. She was a great sports fan, enjoying the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. Lois June is survived by her son, Carey (Sylvia), two loving grandchildren, Casey and Caley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Curly"; infant son, Kim Andrew; brothers, Roger (Lois) and Tom (Jeanne). Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant, Lodi, beside her husband and infant son. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
