She was an actress at the Fireside Dinner Theatre in several productions and starred as Dolly in "Hello Dolly" in 1981. They moved to Minneapolis where Laura earned her Masters Degree in Human Development from St. Mary's University. While in Minneapolis, Laura was a voice over talent in many commercials and acted in productions at the Park Square Theater, the Theater in the Round, The History Theater and Troupe America and performed for five years in the Minneapolis production of "Nunsense". Laura was a precious big sister who looked out for her siblings. Laura was an actress from the very beginning, planning plays in the basement. She had an educater from early years, imparting wisdom to us from her experienced. I love you sweet Laura.

Among Laura’s many gifts was her tremendous amount of energy. She used it to positively effect students throughout the midwest in her performances. Here are some short examples.

I always loved seeing and talking with Laura when she came to Mary and Tom's home and at our book club. She was always upbeat and full of energy. I will greatly miss her wonderful smile and stories.

Karyn, I will never forget our drive to your sister and brother-in-law's house in Minnesota. It was a great "road trip"! Our mission was to watch your sister perform in the play, "Nunsense" in one of the lead roles. She was hysterical and wowed the audience with her comedic gifts. She was truly a gifted person in so many ways!

Dear dear Laurie - how you made us all enjoy the theater, which you loved So Much. Your performances were the first I'd ever seen - it was Fiddler on the Roof (still one of my favorite). And...just the neighborhood memories. Rest in Peace, and we will catch up later.

Laura's vitality and "can do" spirit were an inspiration when participating with other ovarian cancer survivors in educational activities and events sponsored by the UW Hospital & Clinics and the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance including the gynecologic cancer support group "A View Beyond" and the tour of the Gynecologic Cancer Research Lab as well as the Annual Survivor Brunches, Survivors Teaching Students, and the Whisper Walk. She will be solely missed, but never forgotten by her Sisters in Teal. With heartfelt sympathy to Paul and Laura's family, Kathy Brimmer
