Obituary
MADISON-Fauhn Velma Dickens, age 88, of Madison, passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on Nov. 2, 1928, in Blackhawk, the daughter of Ralph and Adeline (Jenewein) Richards. She was united in marriage to Vern Dickens on June 18, 1966. Fauhn worked at AT&T. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's little league games, and was also a Badgers, Packers and Brewers fan. Fauhn is survived by her daughter, Sherry Filter Piediscalzzi (Roy); son, Gary (Tari) Piediscalzzi; grandchildren, Eric Vogt (Rosie), Brian (Raelene) Vogt, Peter (Ashley) Piediscalzzi; great-grandchildren, Devin, Jaxten and Veronica; brother, Vilas Richards; sister, Juanita (Vern) Kuehn; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern Dickens; son, Terry Piediscalzzi; sister, Romelda (Cameron) Redfield; and brother, Robert Richards; and sister-in-law, Diane Richards. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016. Fauhn was such a wonderful lady to become part of our family. Ashley started taking care of Fauhn approximately 3 year's ago. Then as Fauhn became unable to care for herself Pete and Ashley decided to move her in with them. Fauhn loved that because then she would watch her great grandchildren grow up. Together we would all go watch Devin play baseball at EMLL. She was the biggest fan. Things will not be the same. We wil miss her so very much. Rest in peace my beautiful lady. Love you so. I got to live next door to this sweet lady living in the apartments with Ashley and Pete. She always told me how nice I looked even when I did not. I lost both my grandmother's already so it was nice to have her next door. Lots of bbqs and fun with all the kids. My children and God children also got to experience the love she gave. RIP Fauhn! Stephanie

Fauhn was part of our family for the last 36 years.
We enjoyed sharing our Great Grandsons .
Fauhn got the name Gigi because our Great Grandsons had so many Grandmothers.
Fauhn was a fun loving friend & Grandma.
Fauhn was very generous to her family.
