Evelyn Schrotz

MADISON-Evelyn Schrotz, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at the family home, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 18, 1926, in Madison, the daughter of John and Ella (Hahn) Cunningham. She married Robert Schrotz on May 25, 1945. Evelyn was a 1944 graduate of Madison East High School. She worked for USAFI, and later at Central Wisconsin Center. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, gardening and eating out. She was a den mother for the Boy Scouts. Evelyn is survived by her children, Michael (Claudia) Schrotz, Debra Schrotz and Julie Sparks; grandchildren, Trevor, Jamie and Colin; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Chloe; nieces, Susan O'Brien and Lori (Richard) Fowler; and several other nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and three sisters, Dolores Cunningham, Jean Rhodes and Jeannette Enger. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 12 Noon, on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dane County Humane Society or Alzheimer's Association.
