SUN PRAIRIE/MCFARLAND-Florence M. Lea, age 88, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at The Willows Nursing and Rehab Center in Sun Prairie. She was born on July 9, 1928, the daughter of George and Marian (Fell) Charmichael. She married Hughie Lea on Jan. 6, 1951. Florence graduated from UW-Madison as a Medical Technologist. She worked with Doctors Foster & Foster until their retirement, and then went to work for Meriter Hospital until her retirement. Florence is survived by three daughters Sandy (Lloyd) Otteson, Laurie (Larry) Otteson, and Chris (Jimmer) Hook; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Hughie in 1965. Per Florence's wishes, a celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank The Willows Rehab Center staff for their wonderful care and to all the residents of Colonial View for their friendship. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. We have thought about you guys often over the years even though it's been a long time since we last saw you.
