Jill McTague

Middleton—Jill M. McTague passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, following a battle with lung cancer. She was born in Rockford, Ill., on March 7, 1948, the daughter of Elver and Marjorie (Grant) Anderson. Jill graduated from Rockford East High School in 1966. Jill feel head over heels for William "Mac" McTague, they were united in marriage, just 6 months later, on Sept. 6, 1974, and made Middleton their home. Jill worked at JCPenney-West Towne for many years. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Middleton. Jill was a strong supporter of her children and step-children in all their activities and sports. She was a mother to all. Jill and Mac enjoyed many activities that Madison had to offer and many small day trips. They always had fun together. She is survived by her children, Chris (Tina) Gould of Roscoe, Ill., Tim Gould of Middleton, Robin (Jon) Albright of Cave Creek, Ariz.; step-children; Tanya (Trace) Biles of Houston, Texas, Michael (Kelly) McTague of Cross Roads, Texas; grandchildren, Erica Gould, Brittney, Cassandra, Taylor and Shelby Gould, Meghan and Kaylee Albright, Brady and Skyler Biles, Mikenzi and Triston McTague; sisters, Jan (Matt) Reynolds, Barbara (John) Wendell; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen McTague; and many nieces and nephews. Jill was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; a brother, Jack Anderson; and a niece, Theresa Wendell. A celebration of Jill’s life will be held at Middletons’  Fireman’s Park (large shelter), 7400 Lee Street, Middleton,  on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2p.m. until 6 p.m.  Bring a story to share and a dish to pass.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jill’s family for a fund to be established. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at U.W. Hospital, Section D5/6, for their tender care of Jill.
