STOUGHTON-Geraldine M Craig, age 72, of Stoughton, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 3, 1944, the daughter of William and Emily (Neuman) Jahnke in Brookfield, Wisconsin. After graduating from Brookfield Central High School in 1962, Geraldine then attended Waukesha Technical Institute. She married Mark Gilbertson in Waukesha in 2005. Geraldine was employed with Color Ink for a number of years as an Accountant until her retirement in 2007. She had a variety of interests including making jewelry, painting, and drawing, but enjoyed most her time that she spent with her family. In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her sister, Ruth Howell; her brother, William Jahnke; her sister-in-law, Kathi Gilbertson; and other relatives and many friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Jahnke. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 1358 Hwy 51, on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Aunt Geraldine,
Your beautiful heart and smile will be dearly missed here on Earth; your love for the world and for the people around you never went unnoticed. Jesus saw this and knew that he wouldn't want to have anyone else seated at his right side. Although I will miss you so very much, I know that whatever treasures await us at the end of our lives are far more beautiful than anyone can fathom. I hope you enjoy them tirelessly.

My most recent memories with Aunt Geraldine and family. They all started for me at Grandpa and Grandmas house in Brookfield where she and Uncle Bill made the stay for vacation Bible school a high point of every summer. Many years and adventures latter she was united with the person destined to make her the happiest I had ever seen her, Mark Gilbertson. He shared his home, life and freindship openly with all of us in Geraldine's family. What was even more important to me was that he loved Geraldine so much that he encouraged her to do what made her happy while he did the same, knowing that they what they would share was going to be even better when they were happy.
