This is me with my Grandma and Aunt Dode having a great time boating on the Lakes in Madison in 1967. I was 13 years old and I was thrilled to hang out with these wonderful women! What role models my grandma, mother and aunts were to me! Thanks for the memories Aunt Dode! Love always, Janet Alseth Dean

Doreen will forever be a treasured family friend! Late in life she met my mom, Joan, and the two became fast friends after learning they were a month apart in age and had traveled to Cuba with their husbands. Doreen didn't need to know where we were going or what we were doing...she just trusted she would have a good time! She was the life of the party and everyone wanted to know if she would be joining us. And, she was a beloved friend of the doggies in our lives. It will be an honor and so fitting to give a gift to the Dane County Humane Society in her memory. I miss her dearly. My first toast of any event will now be to her and Mom...no doubt they are having a great time "on the other side", cheering on the Packers, sharing a drink and talking about the old days. I am better off for having known her!

Doreen was a wonderful example of how to live life to the fullest! A dear friend of our family and mom/grandma, Doreen was always up for anything. As quoted by our family: "Doreen was full of spunk and a lot of fun !" She had an undeniable twinkle in her eye, outwardly reflecting her inner light! She and my mom became fast friends and are undoubtedly relishing their reunion as they share a cocktail, cheer on the Packers and enjoy the company of one another. As a family of animal lovers, the O'Connor Clan is delighted to give a gift to the Dane County Humane Society in memory of this lovely woman and with gratitude for the gift of knowing and spending time with her and for the wonderful friendship she shared with our mom/grandma!
