Eljean "Ruth" R. Heitzinger

MADISON/RACINE/JUNCTION CITY- Eljean Ruth Heitzinger, age 89, passed away at Heritage Senior Living on Monday Nov. 21, 2016. Ruth was born on Oct. 3, 1927 in Junction City, the daughter of Paul and Regina (Lesavage) Kitowski. She graduated as one of the top students from PJ Jacobs High School in 1944. On July 10, 1948, she married Louis L. Heitzinger. Ruth was a homemaker all her life and was an excellent cook. She treasured the many friendships she and Lou had in Junction City, Portage, Waukegan, Ill., and Racine. Ruth is survived by her three sons, Donald (Michelle) of Madison, Ronald of Madison and Jerry (Linda) of Cottage Grove; two grandchildren, Eric Heitzinger and Zoe Heitzinger; step-grandsons; Craig (Jacque) Drascic and Chris (Kari) Drascic; great-step-grandsons, Gage Drascic and Camryn Drascic; and sister, Dorothy Demming of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; and brothers, Raymond Kitowski and Leonard Kitowski.
