Hayley Baker

MONONA - Hayley Ann Baker, age 22, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016. Born in Madison on Jan. 8, 1994, she was the daughter of Richard and Toni (Caravello) Cruz. Hayley graduated from Monona Grove High School in 2012. She will be remembered for her kind heart and love of animals. She was an artistic soul who shared her talents through drawing and cooking. She had a wonderful sense of humor and she touched everyone who knew her. She was especially close to her brother, Teige and was the best "sissy" ever. She chose to donate her organs, so even in death she could touch others. Hayley is survived by her parents, Richard and Toni Cruz; her brother, Teige; her grandparents, Mary and Greg Newton, Michael and Jacquie Caravello, Robert Baker and Ramon and Maria Cruz; her uncles, Brian (Susan) Caravello, Jon (Jessica) Newton, Rob Baker, Raymond (Angela) Cruz, Nicholas Cruz, Michael (Jennifer) Cruz and her aunt, Michelle Cruz; her many cousins and her special friends, Aunt Becky and Lissa. Hayley was preceded in death by her father, Ryan Baker; and her grandmother, Karen Baker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOSEPH CHURCH (GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH), 1905 W. Beltline Highway, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. There will be a luncheon served at the church following the burial. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. Family and friends may also pay respects at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Meriter Hospital for their help. Special thanks to the ICU, the Organ Procurement Team, Dr. Griffith, Dr. McAllister, Andrea, Maria, Morgan Brittny and Jessica. Their kindness helped the family in so many ways. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane Co. Humane Society or JDRF.  I love you. I love you more. I love you mostest.
