Marilyn is a cousin by marriage and I have fond memories of her husband Bill and Marilyn visiting us on Virginia Terrace in Madison, WI. I also visited them in Camp Hill, PA when I was getting my masters at Penn State Univ. We also had the good fortune to visit Marilyn recently at Oak Wood and I treasure the time we were able to spend with her and her children. The Van de Kamps have always been a very important part of our lives. Margaret, Bill's mother was my father's older sister and she was like a grandmother to me, as her mother died when my father was very young and I never knew her. So Margaret filled that role. We spent many wonderful times with the Van de Kamps and with Marilyn and Bill as I was growing up. Marilyn was the mother to her own children and fostered so many others, which was the great gift she gave. We will miss her and may she rest in peace. Judie Pfeifer

Amanda and I visited often both at Marilyn's Condo and home in Sheboygan after Bills Death. Marilyn always was ready for a game of Parcheesi or Quiddler unless she was watching her favorite tv channel.
