Obituary
OREGON/MADISON-Grace E. Olson, age 89, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Oakwood Village. She was born on Nov. 20, 1926, in Madison, the daughter of Lars and Selma (Dahl) Landness. Grace graduated from Madison West High School. She married William Olson on Aug. 28, 1946, in Madison. Grace enjoyed playing golf and traveling with Bill. She always had a beautiful garden and loved to take care of it. Grace loved raising and training horses for more than 43 years at the family farm in Oregon. Spending time with her family and her grandchildren gave her the greatest joy. Grace is survived by her daughter, Sharon Sova (Joseph Giordano) of Madison; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Carl) Bloedow; grandsons, Christopher and Joshua Olson; great-grandchildren, Michael, Gwendolyn, and Kasey; sister, Gladys (Phil) Gorman; sister-in-law, Pat Landness; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; son, Kenneth Olson; and son-in-law, Donald Sova. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding. A private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. I enjoyed the years with Sharon's mother very much. She was a very sweet lady. She made sure when it came to mowing that I did it correctly and didn't get any grass on the house, barn, and the shed. She will be missed very much. She always had cute comments to make.

Over the years I got to see Grace from time to time. I worked with Sharon over 11 yrs until
she just retired. Sharon is a good friend of mine and her mother will be greatly missed.
Grace was a very sweet lady . Rest in Peace Grace.
