Obituary
MADISON-Tricia Mae Ritschard, age 45, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, Oct 28, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Jan. 6, 1971, in Monroe, the daughter of Royal and Sun Bun Ritschard. She met her life partner, Michele O'Neill, in June 2014. Tricia graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in 1989, where she excelled in athletics. She attended college at MATC and played basketball. Tricia always took pride in her work as a Subway manager of 4 years and as a courier at Fedex for 20 years. She spent most of her time around family and friends. Tricia's contagious spirit, laugh and smile made her someone who people wanted to be around. She was passionate about reading, being active, sports, watching her nieces and nephews activities and spending time with people close to her. Tricia was a loving person, a caring sister, a fun aunt and an incredible friend to all. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Tricia is survived by her life partner, Michele O'Neill of Monona; siblings, Tony (Jason) Ritschard of Madison, Todd Ritschard of Phoenix, Ariz., Tracy (Lawrence) Schmock of Madison, Tina (Laird) McLean of Minneapolis, Minn., Tim (Dawn) Ritschard of Sun Prairie and Tara (Troy) Clifcorn of Madison; nieces and nephews, Landon, Rowan, Ava, Tallen, Tyler, Savanna, Brok and Aspen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Terry Ritschard. A Funeral Service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 7 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In addition, a Celebration of Life will be held at SMOKY'S, 3005 University Ave, Madison, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. A special thanks to all of the caregivers, UW Carbone Center and Agrace HospiceCare for their loving care of Tricia and caring assistance to the family. Tricia and I saw each other daily for years but didn't know each other's names. I delivered the mail in the same neighborhoods as she delivered fedex parcels. She would always wave and smile at me no matter what the weather. She was always a bright spot in my day. So sorry for your loss. Deborah Shekey
