Russell Lawrence Dunn

MADISON-Russell L. Dunn, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at home. He was born on March 11, 1940, in Madison, the son of Russell Sr. and Lillian Dunn. Russell married Pearl (Pahmeier) Dunn on Dec. 16, 1960. He worked as a Die Cast Operator for Madison Kipp Company for 43 years. Russ enjoyed softball, golf, bowling, camping and hunting. In his later years, Russ and Pearl enjoyed playing euchre every day. He also looked forward to his Wednesday trips to the casino with his sister, Gail. Some of his favorite memories were of camping with family and friends and singing "Wild Thing" at karaoke. He was an avid Packers and Cubs fan. Russ will be remembered for his strong work ethic which he obtained from his many years of working in tobacco fields with his dad and family. He was an idol to all kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. Most important to Russ was his family and his dogs. Russell is survived by wife, Pearl Dunn; son, Todd (Kelsey) Dunn; daughter, Michelle Eisenhut; grandsons, Tracker and Hunter Dunn; great-grandchild, Tracker Dunn, Jr.; two brothers, Gerald (Sue) Dunn and Patrick Dunn; and two sisters, Gail (Roger) Wallom and Cindy Gernon. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Michael Dunn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 26, 2016, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
