Candice MacLeod

MADISON-Candice Carol MacLeod, our beautiful daughter, age 26, died unexpectedly on October 11, 2016, at her home in Richland Center. Candice was born April 22, 1990, in Madison, to proud parents, Michael T. MacLeod and Penny S. (Waterman) MacLeod (Bob Mueller). She graduated from Oregon High School in 2008. After graduating, she spent several years in Milwaukee where she worked as a CNA and there found her passion working at her first hospice facility. In 2013, Candice moved to Richland Center and fell in love with the country life (including the music) and her soulmate, Brandon. Everywhere Candice worked she brought her unbelievable spirit and love for life. Candice lived for helping and caring for others which eventually led her to fulfill her passion in hospice care. Her last place of employment was Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care. Candice loved and lived her life with intention. From a very young age Candice embraced her world with confidence and joy. Her infectious laugh and smile is what may be remembered most about her along with her larger than life personality. Her love for animals began at an early age and she loved them all, most of all her cat and lifelong friend, Tig. Candice loved to be outdoors- camping, fishing, swimming and more recently, kayaking. She loved music, watching the Green Bay Packers, playing Euchre with her family, and spoiling her niece and nephew any chance she had. It was beautiful to be a part of her short life and to love her and be loved by her. Her passing came too soon and without warning and the impact on her friends and family is immeasurable. Candice will be forever loved and remembered by her parents, Michael MacLeod and Penny MacLeod (Bob Mueller); sister, Shano MacLeod; brother, Skyler MacLeod; grandparents, Jim and Anita Waterman; nephew, Kayden Gillingham; niece, Baylee White; her love, her best friend and soulmate, Brandon Dague; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loyal friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all that have offered a truly amazing amount of love and support. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon with Pastor Mike Amberg presiding.
