I have too many favorite memories of Katherine to share just one. What a firecracker, as well as a kind and loving soul. She was a dear friend, who always cared about everyone's well being and never forgot to ask how you were. She had the best stories, that made us laugh and blush and realize it is okay to share the good and the bad and just accept who you are and embrace your life experiences.
I will miss her dearly.

Thank you for being a part of my family and sharing your happiness and love with us all! We will always remember you and carry you with us in our hearts! You will be very very missed and JP and I only wish we could have been there to spend more time with you these past few months and be there for your celebration of life. I will never forget our last outing at the Olive Garden where we went to have our last encounter before we went back to Chile and there you gave us a cake that said "much happiness" which you always wished for everyone! :) It's so hard for me to imagine you not there when we return to visit again, but you will be with us in spirit always and I hope watching over all of us! We will love you always and miss you immensely and forever but will carry you in our hearts always! Thank you for everything you've done for us, and especially for taking care of my mom and being there for her, for that and more I cannot appreciate you enough! I am so glad and honored our paths crossed in life to be able to have had the time we had together that we did over these amazing years we've known you and adopted you right into our little family! You were the missing piece we needed and never had until we found you! :) <3 I only wish we could have given you one more hug but for now Ill send one up to you! Thank you for your unconditional love, laughter, kindness, care, compassion, and for being there for us! The world will never be the same without you!

We live across from Sid and Katharine. We grew to love them both. There is no way anyone could know her without falling in love with her. Katharine was kind, compassionate, generous, helpful, proud, and extremely understanding of others. She loved violets. She loved to make homemade meals. She loved to share with us whether it was extra cucumbers, strawberries, or her wonderful chicken soup. We are gonna miss her. I know she was bound for Heaven because she was already an angel while she was here with all of us. Sid, we love you. We would be grateful if we could help in any way. Remember we are across the hall. Remember we are your friends. Let us help if we can. It would please us very much. We will be missing her until we all see her again. What a wonderful, beautiful, loving little lady. With LOVE, Wendy & Sophia Porter and Christopher Galindo.

I knew Katherine from her days as a Sentry checker during her "retirement". What a delight she was! She was truly one of a kind and a joy to know and she sure knew some great jokes she'd share while performing her "checker" duties. I always thought it must be her red hair that made her such a blast to be around-- I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and all who knew her.
With sympathy,
