Obituary
LODI-Arthur Kazmierczak of Lodi, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at home. He was born on July 13, 1933, in South Milwaukee, the son of Max and Mary (Plucinski) Kazmierczak. He married Diane Petersen on Nov. 29, 1958, in Pittsville. Art learned to fly at the young age 16, joined the Air Force in 1951 and became one of three crew members as a navigator on the B47, with missions taking him to Europe and North Africa. He was the owner-operator of Art's Flying Service and Kaz's Flying Service, along with his brother and nephews. Flying was a big part of his life. Art was an avid pilot, flying to many destinations. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers. He is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Steve (Diane); grandson, Troy; brother, George; nephews, Jim and Rick; niece, Pamela; sister-in-law Linda (Gary) Jones; brothers-in-law Harvey (Aneva) Petersen and Peter (Sally) Petersen, he is further survived by many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott; brother, Richard; and nephews, Bill and Bob. Funeral services will be held at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 Pleasant St., Lodi, at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016. Burial will take place at Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main St., Lodi, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
