Obituary
OREGON-Wendy S. Meierdirk, age 57, of Oregon, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Skaalen Home in Stoughton, after a two year battle with ALS. She was born on Dec. 29, 1959, the daughter of Wesley and Carol Campbell, in Rockford, Ill. Wendy graduated from Rockford West High School. She had a love for many activities she took part of in life such as, gardening, camping, animals, farmer’s markets, crafting and walking for her health. Wendy’s greatest joy, was her children and entertaining family and friends in her home. She is survived by her beloved sons, Brandon (Danielle) and Ben; a most cherished grandson, Sawyer; brothers, Mark, Steve and David Campbell; her best friend and youngest brother, Timothy (Carrie) Williams; a special friend, Judy Swenson; many aunts and uncles; and nephews, cousins and friends. Wendy was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and former husband, Mark Meierdirk. Per her request, there will be no service. A heartfelt thank you from the family to the caring staff at Heartland Hospice and Skaalen Home. Donations may be made to Heartland Hospice in remembrance of Wendy. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength.” Mark 12:30. I love you Wendy and am already missing you, but I know that you are happier and healthier where you are now. What a beautiful place you've gone to , you and mom and dad have so much to catch up on. Tell them I love them and can't wait for the day we will ALL be together again. But until then we will always remember you and share memories of all the great times we had growing up. You always lived as life was great and now it will be the greatest that no words can even express.

We have all been so Blessed to have had Wendy in our lives. I believe the Lord has a very special place in Heaven for her. I like to think she is now tending His gardens in Heaven; again able to make the masterpieces she so artfully created; and enjoy all the things that had been denied to her for so long while here on earth. I had always been in awe of her strength, devotion and faith as she faced the burdens put upon her. She will be greatly missed, and always remembered and admired for her selfless loving spirit and strong faith. I hope you will find some comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace and at home with the Lord, whom she loved so dearly. Your loss is shared by many whose lives she touched. My Dear cousin Wendy, God has you in his house now, your mind body and soul are complete,I believe you are at your best and feeling fantastic...years have gone by since our childhood. Us 9 kids running around together playing ball, bike riding, hide n seek ,Court picnics, We had each other so we didnt need whole bunch of others. Mom and your mom use to say we had a baseball team plus a few pinch hitters. Love you forever cuz, There's no pain where you are, say hi to mom for me and ill see you guys real soon...I will cherish the cowgirl book you made me with all my love Cuz...

Brandon And Ben. So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are sent your way! Your mom was a great lady. We spent a lot of time together back in the old days . We walked at night, bowled, shopped, ect., we always had so much fun! We were back in touch because she reached out to me. Glad we got to talk again. Loved her and will miss her dearly!
