STOUGHTON - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence M. Elmer, who left us peacefully on May 5, 2024, just shy of her 94th birthday. She was born in 1930, to Raymond and Norma Zander in Dodgeville, Wis.
Florence was a loving mother to Joann (Mike) Swenson and a cherished grandmother to her only grandson, Michael, all of Stoughton. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Elmer; her mother, Norma Wopat; her father, Raymond Zander; her brother, Marvin Zander; and her sister, Donna Morgan. She is survived by her sister, Betty McGann; niece, Diane Elmer; niece, Pamela Skogstad; nephew, Gerald Elmer; and sister-in-law, Jackie Elmer.
A graveside service will be held at MAPLE HILL CEMETERY, 200 Cemetery St., Evansville, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The family requests that flowers or memorial donations be sent to Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison.
