Bernadine Marie Theresa Christianson

BC shared many memories of the growth of LRCC; loved playing cards at which she was very good. Her “engagement” tree lives on in a picture at LRCC. She had a very big heart. Sarah Baird

Will miss my visits and sharing family memories with Cousin Bernadine, but trust that she finally ended up where her faith was going to lead her. :) John Bertelson Jr.

Bernadine was the oldest living alumnus of Waterloo High School when she came to the alumni banquet last May 2022. As the president of the WHS Alumni Assn, I had the pleasure of giving Bernadine a special welcome at the beginning of the program. She looked so lovely in pink! When I said she graduated in 1936, 86 years earlier, there was a buzz in the room. When I added that she was 103, the buzz began again. Her last classmate, Werner Feutz, died at age 99 on April 17, 2017, 6 years earlier on the same day as Bernadine. Bernadine will be missed!

I have many wonderful memories of Auntie Bern. My favorite is making lefse and frying donuts with her and my Mom. She was definitely an Angel on Earth and now an Angel watching over us. Peace be with all who knew her and loved her. What a legacy of kindness she is leaving with us. A true servant of our Lord. Love you Auntie Bern, Deb Timpe
