Obituary
OREGON - Donald T. Kneifl, age 90, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. He was born on Nov. 1, 1930, in La Crosse, the son of Theodore and Gertrude (Hanson) Kneifl. He married Lucille Briggeman on March 4, 1957, in St. Peter Catholic Church.
Don served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of corporal. He enjoyed traveling, dancing and playing cards. His great-grandson, Daylynn, was the joy of his life, and he cared greatly for his favorite pup, Korbel.
Donald is survived by his wife, Lucille; son, Curtis (Vickie) Kneifl; daughter, Kari (Patrick) Cartner; grandchildren, Jake Kneifl and Kendal Kneifl; great-grandson, Dalynn Kneifl; brothers, Gerald (Darlene) Kneifl, James Kneifl and Duaine (Peggy) Kneifl; sister, Denise (Ike) Makinson; sisters-in-laws, Bette Kneifl and Barb Kneifl; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Hammes; brothers, Daniel (Barb) Kneifl and Eugene Kneifl; and sister-in-law, Shelia Kneifl.
A funeral service will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021. A luncheon will follow at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51, N. @ Jackson St., Stoughton.

Don was the only barber I knew open early on Saturdays...and boy did I feel great the rest of the day. I really enjoyed his stories of his family and life. So sad to hear of his passing. Keeping his wife and family in my thoughts and prayers.
