Obituary
Oregon - Virginia Jean Hierlmeier, age 95, of Oregon, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Oregon Health and Rehab. She was born on April 24, 1927, in Town of Wein, Wis., the daughter of Otto Grosskreutz and Esther (Rachu) Grosskreutz.
Virginia married Henry G. Hierlmeier on May 22, 1948, in Edgar. She was loved and will be missed by many people.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Judy Coffey, Carol J. Borland, Betty (Gary) Larsen and Sam Hierlmeier; son, Gordy (Angela) Hierlmeier; sisters, Lucy Punke and Sissy Engeseth; sister-in-law, Sue Grosskreutz; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; brothers, Gordy (Irene) Grosskreutz, Lavern Grosskreutz and Otto Grosskreutz Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Roy Punke and Erling Engeseth.
A visitation with luncheon will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral AND Cremation Care, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday July 8, 2022. Burial will be held at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens.
