Keith Lindsley

OREGON - Keith Raymond Lindsley, age 82, of Oregon, Wis., passed away peacefully on Thursday Sept. 28, 2023. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to his parents, Gladys and Clyde Lindsley.

Keith graduated from Washington High School, where he met the love of his life, Susan Ellen May.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in the Artillery/Missile Defense. He was honorably discharged as an E-4 to attend college at Iowa State where he graduated with a civil engineering degree.  

In August of 1963 he married his high school sweetheart, Susan, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage before Susan passed away earlier this year.  

They moved to Madison, where he worked for the Department of Transportation in the Highways and the Bureau of Aeronautics Divisions and then was hired with Mead and Hunt engineering firm where he worked until he retired as manager of the Airports Division.

Keith was a brilliant man who could design, build, and fix anything with his own hands. He loved his life with his wife, Susan, vacationing with her, playing golf and cards with his friends, and always rooting for his beloved Green Bay Packers.  He was a loving son, husband, father and brother who was always willing to help anyone who asked.  

Keith is survived by his two children, Beth and Brad (Brittany) Lindsley; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, and Michael Lindsley and Chloe and Ella Brown; sister, Margret Quayle; and brother, Scott (Wynelle) Lindsley.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Susan Lindsley on June 25, 2023; and his brother-in-law, Ron Quayle.

A private service will be held.  Keith and Susan are together again and will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Oregon, Wis.
