When I think of Aunt Cathie (never Cathy),I do think of yarn. Thanks for making my Christmas stocking one of the rare fuzzy ones. (white mohair snowman on red) The other kids were jealous. When I think of Cathie, I think of gardens and that great tangle of raspberries out back. I once rode my bike from the east side of Madison out to Oregon just to pick some. Thanks for the ride home, but I grow my raspberries in rows! Cathie was the only person I knew who used the word knoll in everyday conversation. You could see one from the back windows. Thanksgiving. Summerfest. Wedding showers. Christmas brunch and ornament exchange. Going bumming. My mom's best friend. Charlie, Ed, Jim, Tom, Mary--I hope your joyful memories of your mom soon eclipse any sad or difficult ones. Ruth Anne

Remembering the neighborly days, working with Cathie & Bill on their new garage, the bridge club, and having them beat up on us poor little kids @ the bridge table, joining them @ tournaments in Minocqua, and Chicago. And just having them as friends. We really miss having the family as our insurance holders, everything done right and on time...... Duane Steinhauer

My condolences to the entire Hagstrom family. Cathy was a very dedicated Mom and Grandma. I remember seeing her at so many sporting events and school events. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and there is nothing wrong with that. I consider Cathie and Bill two of the pillars that shaped Oregon always being involved in community and doing, not just talking Keep your wonderful memories close and share them with each other often. Sincerely, Jim Snow

I have many fond memories of the time I spent with my Aunt Cathie. She was always so warm, cheerful and animated! I am truly grateful for these memories and will cherish them forever. Like so many others - I have my knitted Christmas Stocking to always remind me of her love and generosity. I have used that stocking every Christmas. Charlie and Linda, Ed and Terry, Jim and Julie, Tom, and Mary - our deepest condolences to you and your families. Rick and Karen Botham
